holding her favorite blanket. She calls it a 'babby' just like Weston does with his blankie. I actually made that blanket back in high school out of scraps from my mom's fabric box. It's been hanging out in my hope chest until I had a little girl... I love that she likes it the best of all her blankets!
This silly girl is just so much fun- she knows how to tease Weston and how to make Hyrum laugh until he cries just by doing a crazy face or a funny dance. If I ever ask "Afton, are you stinky?" She says "No, Daddy stinky!" or"No, Daddy silly!" or whatever
- it's always about Daddy! The week he was gone to Kentucky she often asked "Daddy back? Daddy home?" By the end of the week she would say "Daddy, Tucky." She was so glad to see him when he returned! He brought her a little stuffed horse she now calls "Tucky."

My sweet little girl is also a big helper. She copies EVERYthing we do. Most of the time, it's a good thing as she knows where to put the trash, the used diapers, how to sweep, put her shoes away, get out a jacket, put in head bands, she's even tried to change her own diaper- gets out the diaper, spreads it out, lays on top of it... she just hasn't figured out how to wrap it up and around. How awesome would that be- "Afton, are you wet? Go change your diaper!" And she could do it!
Afton is my pretty princess babe- I love watching her try on shoes, pick out dresses, wear ten different bows, etc. She picks out shoes for me and also will sit me down to brush out my hair, turn my head side to side "Look up!" and put a head band in. I love watching her play with her babies- wrapping them in blankets, feeding them bottles, dancing them around the living room, tucking them in. We went to her 2 year check up today (she's 22 1/2 lbs, 33.5 inches) and she wore her pink bow and her gold sparkly Belle shoes. She got lots of compliments on them! It is SO, so much fun having a little girl. I just can't love her enough!
If you remember, a long time ago, Afton's first word was "Duck." After going to Disneyland, I thought that we might have a Minnie Mouse birthday or something along those lines. But, even AT Disneyland Afton kept talking about "Duck." So, we focused on the ducks...
We had a little party on Saturday with all of my family at the BYU duck pond which has recently been re-done. It's beautiful! Here's Robby and Afton sitting in the party pavillion...
Afton's name banner
Duckies, ducky pictures, ducky notes and ducky goodie bags with mini rubber ducks, yellow chocolate ducks, a duck coloring page, and a duck magnet to decorate.
Afton and Lexi feeding the ducks. Afton LOVES Lexi! She talks about her, wants to call her, wants to go to "Becky's" house. Afton is always so excited to see Lexi and Lexi is so good to play with her...
Um, how cute are these girls?
So, this is the only picture Zach took of the rubber duck race. Nice. We raced rubber ducks down the canal...
And Lydia won!
Afton used her rubber duck from the BYU Duck derby a couple weeks before.
This is also the only picture Zach got of Grandma and Grandpa Norviel... They were there, though!
Maama, Pa, Kristi, DJ, Cindy, Grammie and Grandpa, and Robby plus the cousins were there. Afton is loved!
Sweet girl...
Afton's duck racing down the canal.
Opening presents- Maama got her a fluffy ducky towel, ducky puppet and a ducky story. Grammie made the cutest little ducky dolly blankie with a burp cloth and a little doll. Afton has carried that around since!
Kristi and kids gave Afton a little puppy with a leash and 'pink' fruit snacks. Grandma Norviel made a fun little book of photos with Afton and lots of her family. It even has a picture of our great great great Aunt Afton (as a child) who is actually still alive- she's 99 years old!
Kristi made Afton a cute pink polka dot cake and Afton did her best to blow those candles out...
Cutest two year old, ever!
Part two, coming up...
