Largey Cousin Fun!

May 19th we picked up Jordan and went to BYU's Astrofest in honor of the Solar Eclipse happening the next day.  We saw a planetarium show,
Got some glasses to watch the eclipse with
Launched some rockets and had some fun.
The next Monday we picked up Maddie to go ice skating and have a tea party with lil'smokies, mini quiche, and chocolate pudding parfaits.  Then we ran to Jordan's baseball game to see him pitch and bat.
 He was a great pitcher!
 And, his team won!
That Wednesday was Maddie's birthday and I helped Jenni make an awesome cake by Maddie's request: An ice cream sandwich cake!
It's layers of ice cream sandwiches, chocolate syrup, whipped cream and Reeses peanut butter cups.

Maddie with her finished product...

Covered with even MORE whipped cream and MORE Reeses!

Maddie's tradition is to get a giant piece of cake and if she doesn't finish it she has to smash her face in the rest- I think she enjoys it and gets 'full' on purpose.  The cousins love it, though!

Then the big people (including Maddie) played a little volleyball- when Nick would let them!

Happy 12th birthday Madison!
Our newest favorite thing to do is the BYU Rubber duck derby.  We did it last year and had a blast so we were excited to do it again.  The boys decorated their ducks like ninjas
and Afton had an all original flower design.  It was lovely.

We were in the second heat so when we were called, the kids threw their ducks in the canal behind a noodle.  At go, the ducks were released and they raced down the canal!

Hyrum's duck was going pretty good but it kept getting stuck.  Afton's duck stayed up right and never got stuck but it just moseyed along in last place the whole race! But Weston's (his blue ninja is above) duck just flew along and he ended up in third place!
Weston was a little excited, won a beach ball and promises to win first next year. :)
And, Cindy isn't a Largey cousin but this picture was too cute not to include.  When I put this into a book, I'll probably move it some where more appropriate but for now, you can just enjoy it.
