We thought we were headed to the outdoor, fabulous Scera pool- that's what the guy told me when he signed us up BUT it turns out, he signed us for the indoor Rec center pool which actually turned out to be okay...
Hyrum was NOT excited. He kept saying "I don't want to go. I don't want to do it."
The boys were together in the same class- Level 2.
The water was cold but there were only five boys in their class and Hyrum was the tallest- he got a little more confidant.
By the end of the first class, their teacher said they both did great and Hyrum could actually move up to level three if he wanted to.
He felt great about that but decided last minute not to move up. So he stayed in level 2.
By the end of the second class, his teacher said Hyrum's freestyle was awesome and he actually had better form than some of the kids on the swim team. Really? Hyrum? Maybe we've found his 'thing'!
Both boys had a blast and got some great swim skills under their belts. They both also passed level 2.
Good job, boys!
Every morning, Afton and I would get dressed and take the boys to lessons and she would say "Watch boys? Window?" Yep, we would go up to the observation deck and watch the boys through the window. Luckily, on the last day we actually got to the Scera pool for a family swim. Afton says "Yay! Pink! Pool! Yay!"
