Good Morning!
Afton woke up super happy and ready for a party!
It was so fun to watch her opening presents- a Belle dress, a tutu and wings, a crown, a bag of craisins and a big wooden doll house with furniture and little people...
Since it was Sunday, we had to get ready for church but Afton was excited to wear a beautiful dress with purple.
After church and a nap, we headed over to Largey's for dinner and CAKE!
For not actually filling up the pan, I must say the duck cake turned out pretty well. And Afton liked it- that's what matters, right?
Happy Birthday sweet girl!
Afton Asenath at 2 years:
Likes: Grapes, any animals, mac and cheese, reading stories- especially Usborne's First Words, playing with the boys and Lexi and Jess, Pizza!, cereal of all sorts, playing Angry Birds on Daddy's touch pad, piano lessons with Maama, going places with Maama, making pretend food in the toy room and serving it, racing in the back yard, turning on and dancing to music, looking at pictures, shopping with Mommy, wearing pretty clothes, coloring, hiking, bike rides and swimming.
Dislikes: Being left home, being denied a sucker, some veggies, processed cheese, umm, I'm having a hard time coming up with anything. She's just good with most things...
Favorite things Afton says: Anytime I ask Afton to do anything she always answers "Okay!" (It sounds like 'okee') But sometimes it's a happy answer, sometimes it's a sigh, sometimes it's "o-KAY!"
Her prayers- she starts them by herself saying 'Dear. Heabenly. Day. Daddy, Mommy, boys, me. Eat. Night. Name. Jesus. Amen.'
When she sees something little or a baby she tips her head to the side, tucks her hands up close and says "Oh, cute! Baby (bug, kitty, Pippa, cupcake) cute!"
Every once a while Afton says "Ride. Rocket. More. Me." referring to the Disneyland rockets. Or she'll say "Mommy, Pooh. Touch, no. Bye!" Because when we saw Pooh and Tigger she didn't want to touch them but she did wave good bye to them. I'm hoping those will be memories she remembers for a while!
Things Afton is Great at: Playing with her babies, cleaning up (when she wants to), helping in the garden, giving kisses and hugs, taking naps and sleeping at night, riding her three wheeled scooter, drawing lines and circles (really good ones!), learning new words, making Hyrum laugh, leaving toys in every single room, making us all feel loved!
