Oh, Christmas time!

Yes, I'm finally getting to the Christmas post. That's what happens when you have a son with a birthday and all your family in town at the same time- first you play and THEN you post!

So, here's our Christmas Eve and Christmas day goings on...

Number 1: I made lots of treats including cake pops that aCtUaLLy turned out! (It helped that I checked out Bakerella's "Cake Pops" book from the library- Super fun!)
Number 2: We had the Largey Christmas Eve party including the Nativity- Zach cherished his roll as the Donkey! Weston was a fabulous Joseph and we FINALLY talked Hyrum into being a Wise Man- He's not even 12 yet! He shouldn't care about being cool or not, right?

Number 3: We got our Christmas Jammies! Afton was already asleep, but don't I have two cute boys? (Notice the scar under Weston's chin- he slipped and smacked the table the day before his birthday and we thought for sure it would need stitches... Luckily, our neighbor used to work at a pediatrician's office and said it would be fine. Whew!)
Number 4: Christmas morning of course!
I woke up to Weston whispering "Mommy! Is it time yet? Santa already came!" It was only 5:50am... So I told him to wait until 6:30 and I would come get him. At 6:30, I woke up to Weston sneaking through the hall "just to peek! But I didn't see anything!" We left Afton sleeping and woke up Wendy, Cindy and Robby to come open presents...
Number 5: Present time! Hyrum was very excited to find his bike and Weston loved his Buzz Lightyear V-tech game. Afton finally woke up about 8:30 and had more fun eating the wrapping paper of course! My big gift, from Zach, is a little program called Photoshop... Someday I will have a chance to use it! (That's actually one of my goals this year :)
Number 6: We packed up and headed over to Kristi and Dj's where we opened MORE presents with them. My mom and dad stayed there so we had a lovely time exchanging gifts and eating delicious brunch-y food and playing with our new toys.
Example 1: Wendy wearing her new gloves and Cindy wearing her new Chinese silk pants. (We took a vote and decided Wendy needs to go to China EVERY year because she brings back the best Christmas presents! The girls all got awesome leather bags, silk pants, and glitter toe paraphernalia, the kids got croaking frogs and Chinese candy (no chicken feet, though) and Zach got nun-chucks...
Example 2: Dj's nun chucks modeled by Kristi.
Example 3: The kids being themselves, in their jammies of course!
Number 7: We then went to the Largey family Christmas to open even MoRE presents from Zach's generous parents and to have Christmas dinner with them.
Number 8: The next day was Sunday and this is my Happy Girl with her Christmas stuff:

I just never get tired of looking at that sweet babe! Hope you had a good one too!
