Easters

So, some might think it's weird, but we always do our Easter baskets on Saturday morning. That way, we get to play with our fun stuff and do Easter bunny things on Saturday and then Sunday is all about the Resurrection... makes sense to me. :)
So, Saturday morning the kids woke up SO early- it was 6:15 when Weston came creeping in saying "Mommy, Happy Easter!" And woke us all up. That, combined with the chocolate bunnies and Pringles for breakfast made for some grumpy kids in the afternoon... Silly!
Here's Afton on her first Easter digging into her basket.
Hyrum finding his basket in the pantry- tricky bunny!
Weston's basket was in the closet!
Afton loves her new Sippy cup- even with the plastic on it!
That morning we went to the city egg hunt with our cousins, Jordan and Jessica. Weston went with Jade and Jess to the younger side while Hyrum and Jordan had to brave the big kid side. But there were plenty of eggs for everyone!
On Sunday, Hyrum got his new scriptures, Weston and Afton got new Sacrament books and we all got new Easter clothes- the boys got bow ties, Afton a dress, me a skirt, Zach and tie and belt. Yes, I made the bow ties, skirt and dress, thank you thank you...
I think we look pretty good!
(Just happened that one of Zach's students walked by at the right time to take our picture for us:)
Before church, we got dressed and went to the temple grounds to take some pictures, have a picnic and read the Easter story. It was great to celebrate the Resurrection this way!

Happy Easter to All!
