Thanksgiving Party Time!

We had quite the party time this last week- are you ready for the run down?
The Riverwoods had a grand party as they turned on their lights MANY lights... We got free cookies, hot chocolate, glowsticks, stickers;
did a little surfing...
and a little more surfing,
and even a little more surfing- all in our winter clothes!
We listened to a fabulous John Schmidt play all the best songs and even play with his toes! (That was great motivation for my boys who just started piano lessons with Maama. :)
The boys brought home free UVU basketball tickets and Uncle Robby just happened to be hanging out for the weekend SO we all headed down the hill to watch the game. What a blast! Even Afton loved it- she cheered right along with everyone...
Hyrum loved being close up enough to see what was going on- not that he can see with crazy eyes...
Afton liked to cheer with the cheerleaders and was even copying their moves. :)
Weston's kindergarten class was a great place for a Thanksgiving feast- Jarrett's mom even cooked a turkey for it! We made pilgrim hats, fresh butter, read some stories and then feasted!

Then, we went straight from the feast to Grandma Norviel's tea party with Kylie, Brianna, Lauren and Reese. These are the big kids...
These are the little ones! Grandma let them each make their own bread bear and had tang to drink, of course!
THEN, on Wednesday, we headed out to Spanish Fork for Pre-Thanksgiving parties with the Smith family! That includes shopping, singing around the piano, making pie,
including Wendy's humble pie;
coloring a cardboard turkey,
and shooting at it with a bow and arrow,
building with boxes in the living room... forts, temples, bombs;
playing twister,
and eating pie! Yummy yum!

These creepy kids are my youngest siblings ... a little disturbing but we love them anyway!
Thanksgiving day we played on daddy's new treadmill, played workout games on the Wii, played Pit with Giff and Jennie and then went to Grandma Largey's for a fabulous dinner!
How thankful we are for all of our blessings especially our family living so close by!

Hi Shar
I was thinking about old times and thought about you today. I wish I had long distance so we could chit chat... Blogging is the next fun thing though. It looks like you have been busy having fun. One of these days I'll get around to actually writing a post, hopefully before Christmas. Those pies look yummy!
