So LAST year, my little sister Wendy came up for the Fall General Conference and while she was here, she was working on her mission papers, doctors appointments and interview kinds of things. This was also the conference where they changed the age limit for sister missionaries, if you remember. Suddenly, Wendy wasn't just one of the few sisters going on missions- she is one of thousands! She is also not just the normal age for going on missions- she is a 'grandma' or so she says since she is graduated and 22 not just a little 19 year old... BUT, living close to the MTC has it's benefits since Afton and I got to go out to eat with the family before she heads off to train for her mission- the Michigan mission! Or, as Wendy says her "missionigan.":)
