She looks like a messy child, she IS a messy child, but she is also a helpful child. She does whatever I do- when I sweep, she gets the dustpan out and brushes away my pile. When I blow my nose, she gets a piece of toilet paper, wipes her nose and throws it away. When I change her diaper, she throws the diaper away. When I am picking up the pretzels she dumped on the floor, she helps pick them up too. When I am washing dishes, she loves to be right there, up to her elbows in the water pouring and splashing too.
This week, I was making egg rolls while she was in her chair eating a snack. When she finished, I got her down and I began to cook the egg rolls. Pretty soon, I look over and there is Afton, sitting at my chair, with three egg roll skins on the plate. She dips her finger in the water, rubs it over the wrap gets the spoon and puts on some filling, rubs it around and then folds it all up... Just like I was doing! Here are her results:
