He really did it!

One day, Hyrum got Baptized!

This was his invite we passed around to family and friends:

Handsome boy, huh! He looks so spiffy in his suit and he knows it!

We've been talking about for so long, having family home evenings about why, how, and what it means to be baptized, planning programs and such that Hyrum was probably tired of it BUT

When the day came it was great! Here are Zach and Hyrum just before we started, in their white jumpsuits- sweet!

We had a great program, making it even more special because we combined the baptism with none other than Hyrum's very own cousin Grace! We started with Hyrum's favorite "When I am Baptized" and after the opening prayer, Kobi, Bella, Cindy, Largey Grandma, Sharlee, Weston, Lexi and Bryson all sang "A Child's Prayer." Aunt Jennie Largey than gave a great talk about baptism including spreading peanut butter on a white cardboard person... good visual aids. :) Grace was baptized by her dad and Hyrum by his- both successful with no re-does... While they were changing, Maama played interlude while everyone in the crowd (we filled up that Primary room!) wrote notes to Grace and Hyrum for their Baptism books. Then we had another great talk by Uncle Robby about the Holy Ghost and what an awesome companion he is and finished up with their confirmations by their dads. It was so good!

Afterwards, we had treats and visited:

My little family! I love them and I'm so glad Hyrum is such a great kid, is making good decisions in his life and is being a good example for Weston and Afton. Love you, Hyrum!
