Mother's Day!

I love Mother's Day! I ended the last post with "It's nice to have another girl around" but shoot, my boys know how to treat their mommy right!
Not even Zach would let me sleep in, though- they were all too excited, I think.:)

Hyrum and Weston picked out some beautiful flowers for me and they all got "A Diary of a Wimpy Kid" for me, which will be fun to read to the boys (Except they call it 'Diarrhea of a Wimpy Kid":).
Then they all made their own 'diaries'; "A Diary of a Wimpy Husband" which promises a trip to Kneaders for all you can eat French toast; "A Diary of a Wimpy Weston" which tells the story of Mommy and Weston going to the desert to dig for arrow heads; and "The Diary of a Wimpy Hyrum", pictured below.

This is the story of how Mommy tells Hyrum to clean his room and he says he doesn't want to. Later he comes in to his room and it's clean and he says "Who did it?"

This is the last page... I'm holding one of Hyrum's stinky socks- see the stink coming off of it?
I loved it!
Church was a treat- I had no extra meetings and Zach got to speak in Sacrament meeting, so his parents came and he said nice things about me and his mom, plus showed his skill at speaking (and his personality) to the ward. He told stories about when he was young, like telling his mom she was worse than Hilter's mother or ordering a $27 steak just to make his Dad mad. Later, in Sunday school, someone asked if Zach had changed much from his younger days... Not really! :)
We went to Zach's parents for dinner and ended the day with a walk around the Provo Temple among the beautiful mountains and flowers-
not that I could get Hyrum to take one serious picture where he smiles NORMAL. Normal is not in a first grader's personality!
Weston, on the other hand posed nicely for me...
Did I say I like Mother's Day?
I love being a mom- yep, it's hard. But the hardest things in life have the best rewards, right? It's one huge adjustment, having a baby- getting married wasn't half as big because you can still do the same things, be your own person; you just have some one else to do it with. When you have a baby, your body and your time are no longer your own! But, I can't even begin to list all the blessings of having kids- how many times I cry because I'm so proud of them or just happy to have them around. Plus having this little girl moving around inside and looking forward to meeting her- I can't be more blessed!
Don't even get me started on my own mom- I could go on for ages on what a good example she is to me. People ask me where I get such good ideas for kids, or how I do the things I do with my kids... "you are such a good mom"- I don't know any different. I just do what my mom did! Thanks, Mom! I love you!

I'm sure Zach talked up a storm! We always liked it when he gave talks. Always entertaining and meaty. Tell him Kevin says hi. We are coming up for July 4th, we'll have to get together.
