April Fools!

April Fools is one of my favorite holidays... if I can think of some good tricks to play! I forgot to prepare any good ones this year but the ones we pulled actually worked pretty good. Here's the run down:

I couldn't think of anything to do TO my boys so I used them... Hyrum went to school this morning and told his class we were moving to Taiwan in a week (hey, it happens! :). They all believed him and looked up Taiwan on the globe- until he finally raised his hand and said "April Fools." I laughed and laughed!

Weston called my mom and told her we got a puppy, it's black, named Popcicle and we got it from PetSmart- he totally made up all the details.

Then Hyrum called Zach's mom and told her he lost a tooth- and he made up a bunch of details about that, too! He said he was at school and he ate some candy. The candy was sticky and it pulled his tooth out so he brought it home and put it under his pillow... pretty good for on the spot! Should I be worried that my boys are good liars?

We took Zach lunch but Hyrum decided we should put toys in it instead of food. So we put a book for a sandwhich, a ball for an apple and a baggie of rocks for chips... Hyrum ran it up to him and then ran back down and we all called Zach on the phone and said "April Fools!" He just thought we had brought the wrong bag... But we gave him a real lunch too. :)

Weston and I made some jello and poured it in cups for juice for dinner tonight, too. That's my favorite trick because it looks just like koolaid. Especially if you have real koolaid the same color on the table.:)

By-the-way, I'm expecting, Zach published his first book, we got a van, our cat ran away, Hyrum shaved his head and Weston can read fluently! That is our up-date for the week!

Can you really take these guys seriously?

Wait, are you serious or are those more April Fools jokes? I'm a terrible liar and incredibly guilable. :)

Sharlee,

I also totally believed that last paragraph. Were you kidding? You're funny. I love reading your blog. Thanks for your upbeat attitude. I would love to see you in a couple of weeks when we are there. Could you email me your phone number?

We stole your idea about the new dog to Tyler's grandma's and they totally believed him. Tyler thought it was great fun. And then we actually got to dogsit my sister-in -law's dog for the weekend. I decided that I am not ready for a dog full-time. Dog-sitting was fun enough for now :)

Hey! You SHOULD move to Taiwan! How funny. We still haven't sold our van, though, so if you are in the market... Oh, and your playlist sounds exactly like my itunes is on. Hehehehe.
