The Ani-girl is 6 months old!

My tiny girl is 6 months old already!  It's funny how the first couple months just DRAG and you think you'll never feel like a real person again. And then suddenly, you have a happy, interactive, mommy-loving babe who laughs and claps and has the squishiest thighs you've ever seen.  Then you think, 'wait! Don't grow up too fast!'   Crazy moms- never can make up their minds...

So, six months is a big milestone- we now know that her eyes will stay blue (ish- they have some hazelness to them, as well).  She should be on a good napping schedule (she's not. She sleeps when she wants and plays the rest of the time) and she should be eating lots of solid food. (She's not doing that either. She really WANTS to but her stomach is still having intolerance issues). So, other than that, Ani does sleep well at night. She LOVES to laugh at Afton and every once and a while at Weston or Mom.  She loves to play with Hyrum who would much rather play with her than do homework.  She loves a good bath and some loose paper to wrinkle, rip and chew on.  No teeth yet- but she bites hard enough with out them!
This little bunny girl girl gets comments from everyone who sees her "What big eyes you have!"  "Oh, pretty girl!" "What a beautiful baby you are!" Usually she reacts in usual Largey kid style with a blank stare or a "turn away-don't look at me."  Sometimes she bursts into tears.  Unless we are at church and she's looking over my shoulder at the people behind us- she must feel safe in that position because she's always all smiles and loud yells there.

We just had her 6 month appointment today- 15.4lbs (34%), 26in (57%) and 95% for head size... she's got a noggin!  It's actually not because it's so big- it's just that it's so ROUND...
Her hair is long enough for tiny little pig tails though, right on the sides of her giant bald spot (which is FINALLY filling in!) They are just so funny! I think it's just the long baby hairs from when she was born- they are darker than the rest of the hair on her head... Love it.
I was glad to see she is still growing at a good pace- 15lbs is not that much for a 6 month babe but with her tummy troubles, it's good.  I made an appointment for the pediatric GI doctor this week because she is still pooping a lot and still pooping blood. I'm pretty sure she is now not only intolerant to milk but also soy (yay, new diet for me).  It's a pretty tricky one because soy is in EVERYTHING. Well, everything processed.  Good thing I know how to bake my own cakes and cookies and Zach's around to be my personal chef...  I get a lot of "How do you do it? I could never cut out __(favorite food)____."  But you know, this little face is just worth it:
I love my little Anika!
