The End of July

The End of July Sometimes I think we just never stop...having fun!  Our ward actually got to have a Pioneer Party this year- oh, yes! We dressed up, had a parade, threw cow patties and cowboy hats, had sack races, made button games, made butter, pancakes and ice cream and walked on stilts.  I must say, I think I had the three cutest Pioneers there, though. Someday, if I get some pictures up, you will agree.

This is just an awesome picture of our yeast exploding while making rolls...
We also had an Olympics Opening Ceremonies party at Kristi's for which we made some awesome torch cupcakes in ice cream cones and Bugles with spray cheese inside- looks like a mini torch, if you can imagine it... I made it up myself, even- no Pinterest needed here!  We also made some pretty awesome Olympic t-shirts with the Rings and the kids 'names'.  Afton was "Little A"  Weston was "Awesome W" and Hyrum's said "ZeCool" obviously.   We ate snacks and watched the opening ceremonies- the WHOLE thing!

The next day we got up early, got our jobs done and went hiking with Seth and Jade all the way to Stewart Falls.  The kids did awesome and the scenery was beautiful, though we left late enough that it was pretty hot.  We ate lunch at the waterfall and hiked right back again!
