Un-packing!
Internet was finally connected today (thanks for your help, Giff!) So I can report on THE MOVE... Pretty much the worst experience of my life- yeah, worse than labor. I'm still having those moments when I'm ready to just sit down and cry because there is so much to do but then I have to think "If I just empty one more box, it will look better..." We had so much help from family and friends to pack up the truck and then unload it at the house- it could have taken days! Who knew we had so much stuffed into our little basement? Once we got it all into the house our great help left and I was ready to just rest and probably cry... but Kristi and DJ, who spent their entire Saturday helping us, stayed to help put stuff away. Kristi started putting things in cupboards and the sight of a couple empty boxes gave me hope! DJ also took Zach to buy his first drill and some good tools for his collection and they spent the afternoon putting together beds, chairs, tables, etc. I just don't even know how we would have survived the first night without their help. Thanks guys! We love you! (Sadly, my camera is out of batteries and I can't find the charger anywhere... in some box, somewhere!)

Sorry it was such a painful move. I hate moving. It is never fun and always seems to take forever to unpack. Hope the rest of the unpacking goes better.
I also think moving is like childbirth. You're excited about the new baby/house but you forget the pain of it until you go through it again. I hope things settle down for you soon.
Oh my, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!! We've moved more times than I can count now :) and it is just as bad every time. Hopefully when everything is unpacked and you're all settle it will all have been worth it! We would love to come see your new place!
Moving with kids was the worst thing I've been through thus far:). It is good that we have that selective memory loss about these sorts of things, near nervous breakdowns and the like:). Hope you're enjoying the home, the piano, the freedom, and we'd love to stop by in May if we make it onto the List:).
