I was just thinking of some things I am glad I have. Yep, they are a random collection of thoughts but it's nice to not take them for granted...
1. Flushing toilets- what would we do with out them?
2. Garages- you really don't know what you are missing until you have one!
3. Closet space- who cares what the closet looks like when you can close the door and no one can see in? Fabulous!
4. Books- I love escaping reality for an hour or two. Who wants to read about real life? We live real life! Give me fantasy and fairy tales!
5. Two cute boys- sometimes they drive me crazy but I can't stay mad for long! One, their silly personalities make me laugh; two, they don't stay mad so why should I? That was one of the first things I learned from Hyrum- forgive and forget. It makes life so much better!
6. A husband- another one of those things that you don't know what you are missing until you have one. What would I do without mine? Besides keeping me warm at night, he makes me laugh, keeps me sane, and makes life worth living...
7. The gospel- I don't know what it would be like to not have a purpose for this life. I love the eternal perspective the gospel brings- it really helps make choices so much easier!
8. The organization of the Church- besides being a way to learn about the gospel and the plan of happiness, the Church is the best thing in the world for a mom like me: I always have a calling, something to work on, something to be appreciated for or to give me a stretch when life is too calm. I can always feel like I am learning, growing, changing, contributing to something when I have a calling. And, a ward is a connection to friends, other moms with kids, people who are the same as you or people you can learn from... It really is organized perfectly for anyone in any stage of life to benefit from!
9. The sunshine- all it takes is one little ray to brighten your day. I would sit outside and soak it up all day if I could! Oh, wait, I do. If the sun is shining, I am in it!
10.Vacuums- I love having a clean floor! I am so glad I don't have to pick every little scrap up by hand...

Cute, Shar. It's therapeutic to sit back and think about what you're thankful for every once in a while. I will have to follow your example!
