We had a day of firsts on January 14th, 2015. I was vacuuming the bedroom floor and Ani was frightened of the loud machine. So, I set her up on my bed as I vacuumed around her. Meanwhile, Afton decided to join Ani on the bed. Afton climbed UNDER the covers like a little groundhog and was burrowing around under the blanket. Well, Ani got bumped right off the bed and cried like a banshee. After a bit, she stopped but after some careful observation, I decided there was something seriously wrong- she couldn't put any pressure on her wrist at all. So, we took a little trip to the Instacare (first #1), had an X-ray (first #2), and ended up with a baby in a 'cast' (first #3). She had a buckle fracture just on one side of the arm so they put a splint on it and said to come back in three days when the swelling went down to get a cast. After talking to a couple pediatric doctors, we decided the splint was enough to take care of it so we left it on for three weeks... Little babe with a big arm!
