Halloween 2014!

We had a successful Halloween this year with three parties, lots of candy, cute costumes and some epic trick or treating. The only thing missing was our Daddy who spent the weekend in Florida at the Disney World resort for a a Writing and Tutoring conference... Who had more fun?
Our first party was Grandma Norviel's on Sunday- Afton was a Bee, Ani was a ladybug and Weston pulled out the Harry Potter robe- this third grader is in the middle of the sixth book of the Harry Potter series!  He's a little obsessed. He even calls his teacher "Headmaster Roden", on accident.  Hyrum wore the big black cloak-he could be a deatheater, a sith lord or a dementor... whatev.

As room mom for Weston's class, our Halloween party was a little different this year.  All the kids in his class read Titanic books for reading groups and they all picked 'Titanic' names which Mrs. Roden calls them by. So, we put together a Titanic party with Boarding passes with the names of real kids who were on the Titanic and their ages, games they played and food they ate for their last meal... it was pretty epic.

Afton and I dressed up in our Titanic outfits, too:).

That night was the Ward Halloween party. I made a four layer, white chocolate pudding/apricot filled, cream cheese frosted cake for the dessert.

Afton was one of the many 'Elsa's around town- Hyrum 's school had 43 'Elsa's at school that day! These are three of the 'Elsa's at the ward party plus an Anna.

I got to be a farmer girl with the cutest little piggie around!

Here's the whole fam...

After the ward party, we headed down to Provo to hit Grandma Largey's candy bowl, see Grammie and the neighborhood and then go to Osmond lane with Giff and Jennie for some great Trick or Treating. There were some crazy decorations, a candy land house, a haunted house and TONS of trick or treaters there. It was quite the party!  Afton was ready to head home once she saw the 10 foot creepy guy walking around, though, so we went back to Grandma's to count candy and do some trading... What a holiday!
