Oh, my baby Ani-girl! This tiny girl is just getting smarter by the day. On July 8th-her actual 9 month date- she started doing the sign for 'more.' When Daddy picks her up and she doesn't want him to, she says "Nuhnuhnuh" and shakes her head. When ever someone says "Ears" she covers her ears with both hands. She pretends like she's talking on the phone by holding one hand up to her ear. She laughs at funny things, not just when she's tickled. By nine months, Ani ALMOST had crawling down. Not quite there yet BUT there is no army crawling/struggling on the ground for this girl. Nope. She's going to do the full on crawl or bust. She has sounds for lots of things- when she sees a cute little stuffed animal on the ground or shelf that she wants (especially the little white kitty "Snowflake" Wendy sent Afton for her birthday) Anika does a "Ohhh!" like a "Oh, so cute!" kind of sound. When she gets a toy she wants, she says "Dat." When she's sad, she says "Mamamama." When she's just playing around, Ani says "Dadadada" with her tongue sticking out really far. She has a super long tongue and she's always impressing strangers with how long and pointy it is. When she doesn't want something, or she's bored, Ani will throw whatever she can reach!
In food tales, Ani still really wants to eat what we are eating but she's still on the 'allergen' diet which has a specific order in which to introduce new foods. Wheat is not one of the foods she can eat which makes snacking hard! But, I've learned that she LOVES veggies- sweet taters, carrots, garden veggies, green beans, squash, even just cooked, diced zucchini, squash, carrots, potatoes, broccoli, asparagus- she'll eat it all. BUT, fruit is a no go- she despises peaches, pears and prunes. (All the things that help bowels move along). She will only eat them when mixed with a large helping of rice cereal or oatmeal- things that do NOT help bowels move along. Needless to say, she's pooping once every 3-4 days. A big improvement from 6 months when she was pooping 6 times a day! I have started eating 'hidden'dairy- like breads with milk baked in, etc. No straight up dairy but so far, she's been okay. Yay! Here's hoping...
She is inches tall and lbs.
I love this squishy little babe- I love how she plays with my hair, loves her kitties (Jag included), how she is so determined to crawl, her happy little face and her shy smiles when people talk to her. She's so fun to have in our family!
