One day, so long ago, Hyrum had very crooked teeth and a pretty severe under bite. So...
He got some braces and an expander!
He was only supposed to have the braces for a short time, 6-9 months. But, he had two teeth fall out and the Orthodontist was afraid his teeth would move back too quickly if we took the braces off. So, they took an x-ray to make sure his new teeth were growing in soon and decided just to wait for them. BUT, it took a good YEAR for them to grow back in.
Finally, after 20 months of braces, a $25 ToyRUs gift card, a $5 Jamba juice card and holes worn in his Thompson orthodontics shirt, Hyrum got the go-ahead and got his braces off!

Now he has the straightest teeth in the whole third grade!
The funny thing is, Aunt Cindy (who is 15) got braces put ON her teeth the SAME day! I need to get a picture of them together... :)
