Merry Christmas to All!

Largey Family Report 2011

Zach taught a Distance Education class this last semester which has almost 200 students spread across Utah. It’s been a fun new challenge. He also paid off the van and Afton and refinanced the house. His big new addition is a high tech treadmill with all the bells- Run Zach, run!

Sharlee has had a busy year juggling one car, three boys school schedules, babysitting and Afton’s nap schedule, trying to keep the house clean, the Young Women’s organization running smoothly (with two new counselors) and still trying to fit in some exercise and crafting time. But, she survived the year and earned a Rec center pass- Zumba time!

Hyrum happens to be the only 3rd grader with glasses AND braces so he is the coolest kid in class. He graduated to the basement and has his own Outer Space room. Hyrum took a 4-H karate class and rocked it, ran the Cougar run at BYU, hiked the Y multiple times, learned how to ice skate with a LOT of practice and sore bones, is reading the Ranger’s Apprentice books, is working on his drawing skills and taking piano lessons from Maama. Only one month and he can read notes already!

Weston is a big kindergarten boy this year! When he went for his testing he answered every single question in the book and could have kept going right through 1st grade. He is becoming a great reader, is finally getting taller, is also doing piano lessons with Maama (he played Jolly Old St. Nicholas for his school class!) and is a pro on his bike, ice skating, hiking and singing. He even sings in his sleep!

Afton is SO fun to have in our family! She is a happy, snuggly, silly girl with an opinion and personality all her own. Zach loves that she comes to him for comfort just as much as she goes to Sharlee. Think she has him wrapped around her finger? Hyrum also dotes on her but she pushes poor Weston around- she is definitely all girl! She likes to change bows (big accomplishment: growing enough hair to put a bow in!), try on shoes, spin in pretty dresses and push her baby around in the stroller.

We wish you all the comfort and peace the spirit of the Lord brings. Merry Christmas!
