So, it turns out, it was Elmo's birthday - not the guy on TV, just Weston's giant Elmo. 
He turned 10 years old and wanted an elephant party so of course we gave it to him!
We made a delicious chocolate cake (just give me a reason, any reason at all) with an elephant on it and Hyrum said "Is this kind of weird that we made this great big cake just for a stuffed animal?" I didn't answer. My mouth was too full of cake...
Weston wrapped a present, we all got birthday stickers, and Elmo blew out the candles with a little help from the boys. I love Weston and his ideas!
Anyone else having birthdays? I need another excuse for cake!
