The Bakers are in the House

One day the boys decided to make something good to eat...
They got out their little bowls and spoons and started mixing and kneading.

Weston made a little loaf of bread and some delicious rolls.

Hyrum made some perfect cinnamon rolls.

And the finished product! Rolls and bread...

And frosted Cinnamon rolls! Are you hungry yet?
Here's the recipe (for you, Macie!):
Basic Roll Recipe
by Lynnette Wakefield
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbsp salt
2 Tbsp yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1 cup hot water
4 1/2 cups flour
Cream together shortening, sugar, eggs, and salt. Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup water (110 degrees). Add yeast to mixture, then add 1 cup hot water and the flour. Mix together until all flour is mixed good. Let rise until double. From into desired shapes, let rise again. Bake in 400 degree oven for approx. 15 minutes.

Thanks Shar! I decided I needed to get over my fear of breadmaking. That's my goal for the year! :)
