Peaches and Pears, Parties and Peter B.

Here's my final picture of all the food storage I bottled last week- minus the pear butter and peach jam. Yes, I am proud of it and yes, it's still out on the counter- at first I leave it so I can look at all my hard work and enjoy it then I leave it out because it takes forever to take them all downstairs to the closet!
Here are my birthday cakes I made for Zach's dad's 60th birthday party! We had a Hawaiian themed party and I made a scuba diver and a treasure chest...

So, Saturdays are now taken up by BYU football games at our house and many others along the Wasatch front. Last Saturday, instead of being bored, I took the boys and went with Kristi and Christina to the Harvest Moon festival in Spanish Fork. We played games, made crafts, took silly pictures, went on a hay ride, saw a juggler and listened to Kristi's symphony which sounded great! To end the night, Peter Brienholt performed and made my night! I love a little Peter B.!
You can see him in the darkness... The kids loved it, too, and they danced and danced!
The night was much more fun than the game - they lost
pretty bad. Oh well!

You are a canning fool! That night was WAY better than sitting home while our hubbies watch football! I need you to email the pictures of me and my kids in the sunflowers-they were so funny!

Hey! I canned peaches too (last Friday). Fun and feels good to have more fruit now. I miss being able to go to the farmstands to pick my own peaches though :). We have to import Utah peaches here, AZ peaches are not good for canning.

We have so much fun when we get to see you. The Harvest Hurrah and Peter B concert was the perfect night! Let's do that every year!
